The Sylan 2 is a propulsive trail running shoe developed for speed, efficiency and reduced fatigue over long efforts. Its rockered geometry, responsive supercritical foam and carbon-fibre plate work together to create a fast, stable ride across flowing and moderately technical trails.
The new supercritical midsole foam compresses and rebounds efficiently, increasing energy return while providing underfoot protection over longer distances. The pronounced rocker helps the foot transition smoothly from landing to toe-off, reducing the effort required to maintain momentum.
A carbon-fibre plate embedded in the midsole increases stability and helps direct energy forward. Unlike a plate designed only for stiffness, it also supports the foot on uneven trail surfaces and keeps the highly responsive foam controlled at speed.
The engineered woven upper reduces weight and improves airflow during hard efforts. An integrated flat-knit tongue securely wraps the foot, while the flat-knit collar improves fit and helps prevent dirt and trail debris from entering the shoe.
The Vibram Megagrip outsole uses LITEBASE construction to reduce unnecessary rubber weight while maintaining grip and durability. Stepped 4.5 mm and 3.5 mm lugs provide traction across varied trails and release mud efficiently.
