WOOL FOR A LIFETIME
A boiled wool sweater, hat, or sock is produced in the same traditional method that has been used for centuries in Austria – advantaging outdoor enthusiasts with its timeless warmth. Boiled wool is not only derived from an all-natural source, but it is also manufactured without added chemicals and remains 100% recyclable.
Naturally, wool offers at least 10% more breathability to the wearer when compared to other performance-oriented materials derived from synthetics. Wool is naturally water resistant and windproof when made via the boiled wool method. Even when wet, wool continued to insulate, unlike down-filled insulating layers. Wool is also extremely durable and naturally rugged in tough mountain environments.
Garments made of merino wool only requires cleaning once or twice a year. When stored, it should be given space to rest between wears to keep the shape and remain fresh. All knits will stretch when hung, therefore you should fold your sweaters to keep the shape when you store it.
