Boiled wool is not only derived from an all-natural source, but it is also manufactured without added chemicals and remains 100% recyclable. Naturally, wool offers at least 10% more breathability to the wearer when compared to other performance oriented materials derived from synthetics. Wool is naturally water-resistant and windproof when made via the boiled wool method. Even when wet, wool continued to insulate, unlike down-filled insulating layers. Wool is also extremely durable and naturally rugged in tough mountain environments.   Garment Care Garments made of merino wool only requires cleaning once or twice a year. When stored, it should be given space to rest between wears to keep the shape and remain fresh.
